MP ENVIS celebrated World Ozone Day at Naveen Higher Secondary School, arera colony, Bhopal. We organized painting competition, slogan writing competition, debate competition, question-answer competition and prize distribution to winner etc. We were also organized a workshop for school students. In this workshop, Dr. K.K. Tripathi, Programme Officer, ENVIS spoke on ozone layer depletion and environmental effects of depletion of ozone layer. Shri Abhishek Dixit, Information Officer, ENVIS spoke on Effects on Human and Animal Health, Terrestrial Plants, Aquatic Ecosystems, Bio-geo-chemical Cycles, Air Quality Effects on Materials causes of Depletion of Ozone Layer. School students were invited as audience for the event, the main objective of which was to generate awareness of Ozone layer, water harvesting, reduction of air pollution, water pollution, Solid Waste Management, Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change.

MP ENVIS team designed a poster on the theme of World Ozone Day. This workshop was very helpful for teachers and students as they learnt about causes of Ozone Layer Depletion and environment effect of Ozone Layer Depletion.

MP ENVIS team also prepared and distributed reading material on World Ozone Day. This material consisted topics like what is Ozone, What is Ultraviolet radiation, what is Ozone Depletion, what is Antarctic Hole, Ozone layer Depletion Effects on Human and Animal Health, Terrestrial Plants, Aquatic Ecosystems, Bio-geo-chemical Cycles, Air Quality. It gives information about action taken at International level.

Dr. Kamlesh Prasad (Technical Expert, Earth Science) gave information on Ozone Layer Depletion and its relation with disaster. He also spoke about Disaster Management being a necessary part for reduction of Ozone layer Depletion. We are thanks to our Director, Dr. Rakesh Dubey for giving an opportunity to organize the programmes. We are also heartfelt thankful to our Executive Director Shri Sanjeev Singh (IAS) for valuable guidance.
